Cozy Thin Mint Hot Chocolate

Thin Mint Hot Chocolate | Bloom with Claire

Mmm.. hot chocolate season is finally here! Delicious hot chocolate, whip cream and Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. Amazing – right?! Hot chocolate has always been a staple in my household. My parents are known to snuggle up on the chair by the fire with Simba and enjoy a nice night in.

Is it bad that with colder weather coming, I’m excited to stay home more?? *shrug*

Since my family has always loved hot chocolate, I decided to add a new spin to it. I LOVE peppermint hot chocolate from Scooters or Starbucks, and you can easily get that taste at home!

There are a few ways you can make hot chocolate. If you have a slow-cooker, you can make this delicious recipe by Jillee over at One Good Thing, or if you’re like me and when the craving hits you NEED hot chocolate, you can use Swiss Miss.

Now go dig out those boxes of frozen Thin Mints you have buried away in your freezer, add a fireplace, Christmas tree, a good holiday movie (Hallmark channel anyone?!) and Thin Mint Hot Chocolate for the perfect cozy night.

Thin Mint Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Swiss Miss, or try homemade in a slow cooker

  • Thin Mint cookies
  • Whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Pour milk into microwave safe mug
  2. Microwave for 1-2 minutes
  3. Mix in Swiss Miss hot chocolate, peppermint and vanilla extract

  5. Crumble thin mint on top!
  6. Sometime, I even like to put a whole thin mint at the bottom of my mug 🙂 Makes for a delicious ending to your drink.
