I’m not one to get into the fuss about Valentine’s Day. I’m more of a blanket fort, take-out Chinese and fondue kinda gal. This year, you’ll find us keeping the tradition of ordering takeout Chinese, drinking wine, and watching romcoms. But, I do know there are people out there who love gifting for their special someone.
Or maybe you’re into celebrating the love you have for your girlfriends? Spread the love with Galentine’s. Guys? Kick back with the bro’s and celebrate Broventine’s Day. (Yes.. I did Google that. It’s a thing. Trust me. Here are some Valentine cards for your bros.)
Sometimes you even gotta treat yourself.
If are you planning on treatin’ someone, look no further. Yes, you can always go with the classic flowers and chocolate – but why not shake it up a bit?
I’ve put together a list of eight affordable gifts to spoil yourself or someone else (or both? 😉 ) Check out the links below!
1. Alex & Ani Valentine’s Collection – Price Varies
I LOVE Alex & Ani. You’ve probably seen ladies stacking these on their wrists for the past couple years. I only have one bracelet, but their options are endless. I visited their store on Park Ave. in Florida last week, and #swoon.
2. Capri Blue Volcano Candle $28.00
I. Am. Obsessed. With. These. Candles. So much that I hide them in my drawers when handymen come to my apartment so I don’t get in trouble for having candles. 🙈 Yes, my apartment has a fireplace. No, we aren’t allowed to have candles. Apartment rules, man. You can find these candles a lot of places – but I always have luck at Anthro!
3. “You Got This” Reusable Coffee Sleeve $15.00
Ugh – this is one of those things where you don’t think you need it until you see it. Made by a leather goods company out of Canada. I not only need coffee every morning… but I need this as well.
4. bkr Metallic Rose Winter Heart Water Bottle 16.9 oz $35
Ok these are just too cute. I am a sucker for anything rose gold – so naturally I had include these water bottles. Their new line includes a silicone spike design, which is pretty badass if you ask me. This is considered the smaller size, check out their site for the larger version.
Sorry… I had to include these. Is it peonie season? Absolutely not. But.. but.. they are so pretty! Looking for flowers other than peonies? Check out this website. They have a super simple process. Pick out your “bouq”. They either cut your flowers and deliver fresh from a sustainable farm, or deliver on-demand from an artisan florist within two hours. So cute.
6. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera (Pink) $70.00
This gift is a little more on the pricey side, but I have heard nothing but great reviews. This is one thing that has been on my wishlist for quite sometime – and hoping to buy one soon!
7. Let’s Cuddle Pillow $29.99
Another great Etsy find. I’m a sucker for anything rose gold, and anything written in hand-script. I have handwritten wall art, Moscow mule mugs… the list goes on.
8. “This is Our Happy Place” Chalkboard Wood Sign $35.00
Shop local. Shop local. Shop local. A few of the items I’ve listed on here are from Etsy. I love Etsy because you know you are supporting someone’s local business (most of the time.) This item is no different – and the maker is from Lincoln! I have one of her hanging canvas banners and I also obsessively stalk her Instagram – oops.
I hope you’ve found one or two items to treat yoself, or a loved one with. Let me know in the comments!
